Outpatient Treatment

Janus' Outpatient Treatment services are designed for individuals who require a structured program to support their abstinence. Participants can continue their careers and daily activities while receiving treatment.

All programs are held at 200 7th Avenue except as noted. Contact Janus of Santa Cruz at (831) 462-1060 to join one of these cost effective groups:

Outpatient Intensive meets from 6:00 – 9:00 on Monday, Wednesdays & Fridays.
Outpatient Intensive is a ten-week program for individuals beginning their recovery experience.

Outpatient clients have access to the Janus Family Program, a four-week educational and therapeutic service provided to individuals and their family members that is facilitated by a Licensed Family Therapist.



Relapse Prevention meets from 6:00 – 9:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Relapse Prevention is a ten-week program specifically for clients with recovery experience who are having difficulty maintaining their abstinence.



Aftercare meets from 6:00 to 7:30 on Monday and Wednesdays in Santa Cruz
and 6:00 to 7:30 on Wednesdays in Watsonville. Our comprehensive Aftercare program provides a yearlong, weekly support group and assistance with transitioning to reliance on community resources including Smart Recovery and 12 step programs.



Substance Abuse Treatment and Education program is designed for persons who are not substance dependent but exhibit signs of substance abuse.



Individual Counseling is recommended for those with special needs and is also an ideal treatment for stable recovering clients who want to enhance recovery and prevent relapse.

Individualized Treatment Plans Include:
•  Assessment of personal needs
•  Recovery skills and relapse prevention education
•  Motivational enhancement
•  Interventions targeting factors that may complicate recovery
•  Family support and recovery education program
•  Introduction to Community Support
•  Referrals for medical, psychological, vocational or economic support as needed
