Special Care / Detoxification Treatment
This program features intensive 24-Hour Residential Care and is designed to provide a supervised detoxification for individuals who are in early stages of withdrawal but do not have severe medical complications.
Janus' Special Care / Detox Unit
. 24-hour, intense supervision and treatment
. Certified alcohol/drug counselors trained in sub-acute treatment
. Observation for biological or psychological complications
. Referral and transfer to more intense levels of care when required
. Group and individual behavioral strategies
. Intervention to manage withdrawal symptoms
. Motivation techniques to encourage the recovery process
. Rest, nutrition, meditation and exercise to rebuild health
Although this short-term, residential/crisis stabilization program is not a medically managed program, each client receives an initial medical screening to determine appropriateness for treatment. Any client requiring a significant level of medical monitoring is promptly referred either to a medically managed detoxification program or to Dominican Hospital for acute medical care.
