About Janus

Program Philosophy
Janus' treatment programs recognize chemical dependency as a chronic, progressive and treatable disease with a high potential for recovery. We create a caring community of individuals searching for solutions to similar problems. Within this recovering community framework, Janus' professional staff applies research-proven clinical interventions to facilitate each client's personal discovery and acceptance of their chemical dependency, while developing an individualized program for recovery and relapse prevention.

Programs at Janus strongly emphasize the need for establishing and maintaining an ongoing, goal-oriented rehabilitation program through involvement with community 12-Step support groups, the spiritual community, individual and family counseling and Janus' Aftercare Program.

While Janus' programs do not provide direct medical or psychiatric treatment, assessment and referral for co-occurring medical/psychiatric conditions is provided. At Janus, we use an integrated approach to Dual Diagnosis, including cooperative efforts with psychiatrists and creating individualized treatment plans.

Janus' treatment completion rate in 2005 was 91%, thus ranking the agency among the best in the nation.

Agency Goals
