What do these words really mean?
How do I know if I or someone I love should be considering treatment?
It’s a question that thousands of people ask each day, and it’s a very important question. More important, however, is getting the right answers so that you can make the right decision about whether you or someone else might need help, and what kind of help that should be.
Join an experienced Janus staff member every Saturday (except holiday weekends) from 1-2 pm for a free hour of information that will help answer your important questions. There will be a brief talk about the topic, and ample time for your questions. This is a free community service. We will not ask for any contact information and we will not follow up with you unless you request it.
Take an hour; be informed. We just want to help.

Is an Intervention The Answer?
If you have been working with a friend or relative who is addicted and in need of treatment, you are well aware of the layers and layers of excuses and denial that the person in need has built up in an effort to avoid the inevitable fact that she/he needs treatment. It's like the addict has wrapped her/himself in layers of a tough, impenetrable substance called "No! No, not me. No, not now. You must hate me. It's your fault. It's none of your business. It's my life, just leave me alone!" Sound familiar? An intervention, led by an experienced, successful, professional Interventionist can help. Give yourself a break. Let a professional guide your family member or friend to treatment and on to the path to Recovery.

Comprehensive and caring substance abuse treatment
At Janus of Santa Cruz, we have helped thousands of people find their way out of alcohol and drug addiction and into healthy and productive lives.
For more than three decades, Janus has provided compassionate and effective substance abuse treatment while guiding clients’ journeys toward wellness and recovery. We offer help, hope and results
to individuals and families in need of alcoholism rehabilitation, drug detoxification and opiate addiction treatment.
Janus provides a variety of alcohol and drug rehab options designed for individual needs, from Outpatient Services and Short-term Detox to Extended Residential Treatment and ongoing medical treatment for opiate addiction at the Janus Community Clinic. Our Perinatal Program offers both residential and day programs for drug and alcohol dependent pregnant women and new mothers. And our two Sober Living Environments provide short-term as well as long-term stays.

Successful Addiction Recovery
We know that overcoming the challenges of drug and alcohol dependence is difficult or even impossible to accomplish alone. But you’ve taken the first and most essential step toward recovery: seeking assistance for yourself, a family member or friend. You’re not alone – Janus is here to help.
A private nonprofit organization founded in 1976, Janus is respected as one of Central California’s most successful substance abuse treatment facilities. We are open to anyone.
The key to Janus’ success in addiction treatment is our compassionate, experienced and capable Staff. Every person, from administrators and intake counselors to detox specialists, realizes that he or she is essential to the treatment and rehabilitation. Many of our staff members have experienced their own addiction and recovery process, and have a deeply personal understanding of their clients’ needs.

Accessible Alcoholism and Addiction Treatment
At Janus, our mission is to assure affordable substance abuse treatment for everyone. Program packages offer significant savings of up to 75% compared to similar programs at other facilities. Janus accepts most insurance plans and will bill insurance directly. A sliding scale is available for low income clients paying out of pocket. |
